NEWS : The Smartphone market – First quarter of 2013
Here are the statistics on the Smartphone shipments during the first quarter of 2013:
- 75% of all smartphones sold worldwide were Android phones;
- 17.3% were Apple phones (Apple lost 6% to Android year-over-year);
- 3.2% were Microsoft Windows Phones (Of which 79% where Nokia phones running under Windows Phone OS);
- 2.9% were BlackBerry.

Raspberry Pi has just launched the Raspberry Pi Zero. It boasts some pretty impressive specs, despite its price point. It comes with a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and can output to a 1080p screen using HDMI at 60 frames a second. There is no onboard storage at all, but it comes with a Micro SD card slot so users can pick how much memory they think they need. Here is the link to an article with more details:
News: Google open-sourcing TensorFlow shows AI’s future is data-2015-12-05
When Google open sourced its Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine in early November 2015, (therefore, freely sharing the source code with the world at large) some didn’t see this as the triumph of the free software movement.
