One year after the release of Windows 10 (July 29, 2015), Microsoft has come up with a major Windows 10 upgrade called the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. My readers know that I constantly urge computer and smartphone users to keep their devices up to date, by always configuring them for automatic updates and installing the latest updates whenever requested. This is the best way to shield yourself from potential threats and ensure optimum performance of your computing devices. I therefore urge all Windows 10 users to install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
Before you start this installation, make sure you have plenty of time since it takes more than an hour to complete the entire download and install process. I don’t know exactly how long since after an hour I left my computer running and the update was installed when I came back several hours later. The easiest way is to do what I did. Close ALL Apps, start the update process, go way and let it run to completion.
Once ready to install, click to open the following link Install Windows 10 Anniversary Update, then click on “Join the celebration – get the windows 10 Anniversary Update today”, on top of the screen. This should initiate the Windows 10 Update download. Open the download square at the bottom of your screen and Run the update process. Let it run to the end.
After installing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, if your computer is configured for automatic updates, it should automatically install the Windows 10 Version 1607 update, for additional improvements and fixes of Windows 10. Once all the above is completed, your Windows 10 computer will be up to date and should run better.
